As a scientist turned product designer, I bring a unique blend of scientific rigor and creative problem-solving to the design table.
My professional life began as a biomedical scientist, where I spent years researching and developing diagnostics. However, design was always a passion of mine, one that I explored through various side projects and freelance work. This interest in design led me to co-found Sentiv, a wellness app that drove social impact through fitness.
Although Sentiv eventually failed, the experience was invaluable. It taught me a lot about product development and business strategy and sharpened my design sense. That entrepreneurial journey also gave me the confidence to eventually pursue a career in product design.
Today, I'm able to bring the scientific, product, and design thinking together in crafting solutions that are practical and impactful. As a design generalist, I enjoy driving the entire product lifecycle - research, ideation, interaction design, visual design, prototyping, journey mapping, development, testing, measuring success post launch and more.

Over the last half year Koushik has lead the design efforts for the new Onboarding & Activation (O&A) vision. He helped guide two additional designers and worked closely with PM and clinical partners. He delivered independently with limited guidance - shifting beyond developing feature strategy to larger product level strategy. This work is of strategic importance for Hinge Health, its customers, and members.
